The Fairburn Nature Preserve is the vision of the city of Fairburn to create a multipurpose eco-center that includes a Mitigation Bank, Nature Center, Environmental Education Center, and Conference Building on 310 acres of protected and preserved land. This vision, once realized, will offer families, students, and professionals nationwide, the unique opportunity to learn about nature in this “lab-without-walls,” while helping to preserve and enhance the environment and wildlife habitat of this protected area. Working in partnership with the city of Fairburn and educators in Georgia, Environmental Institute of Georgia serves as trustee of the Fairburn Nature Preserve and EIOG’s Center for Environmental Education. |
